I knew this was coming. It was only a matter of when.
This country is mentally unwell and has a sick habit of idolizing people like Luigi Mangione and now Lindsay Clancy.
This will keep happening if we refuse to hold people like Clancy accountable for murdering her three kids and instead turn her into a martyr because she was “depressed.”

Those who refused the vaccine threatened the self-image of those who had already complied. That is why some were willing to cut off their own family members. Different behavior by others functioned as invalidation to the people who needed validation the most.
The same mechanism is operating in this Clancy case.
Tens of thousands of mothers have experienced rage or homicidal thoughts toward their own children. Most never act, but what remains is guilt.
Lindsay Clancy acted on these thoughts and killed her three children, and now tens of thousands of women are watching what was going on in their head play out in real life. It's validation.
They also want an acquittal because it will clear their conscience of the guilt they feel.
